What are the differences between the Vortex Viper and the Vortex Viper HD model binos? Anyone know?

Armortek coating on the external lens surfaces, high density ED glass as opposed to "regular" ED glass. Current production there's not much in the Viper line.

In other words......is $300 a good deal [ or not ] on lightly used Vortex Viper 8 x 42's [ non HD ]?

The Viper (non HD) binos MSRP was $600 USD, so I think that would be a good deal.
