Hi All,

Are these little beauties still available new, with the two cylinders (.22 / .22 magnum)? Or am I going to have to find a used one?

Cheers,

Cabelas for $899, just bought a used one off a fellow member still waiting for the transfer

With the new higher capacity Singles they've gone to separate guns. But the old six shot convertible is still listed by Ruger. The question would be if anyone up here has any or can order one in for you.

Really though I have to ask "why?". .22WMR is brutally priced for use in a gun which is only good for paper punching due to being restricted. Better to buy a Single Ten and then a center fire revolver for your "bigger boomer".

Really? Paper punching only? Not clay busting, egg bursting, pop can exploding, balloon popping, paddle flipping, spinner twirling, buzzer beating, silhouette tinging or bad guy perforating (center mass silhouette)?

Paper punching only, eh?... yeah, I guess I see your point...

Be a lot better if I could carry one in the woods.(can't do it trapping in this province either)
What sad laws.

I agree.... it would be amazing to be able to carry them with subsonic rounds for grouse while hunting moose and deer and when riding the dirt bikes... but they are still a lot of fun on "party" targets...

I've seen a few in shops in calgary. I scored one a few weeks ago for $300 in like new condition. Consignment at a small shop. Score for me!!!!

Still available here in the States. I've been told that the convertible's still out sell the fixed capacity guns, and I believe it. I've got two Single-Sixes ad would not trade them for any of the higher capacity guns. If I need more than 6 rounds I'll go to an autoloader :) .

There are lots of used ones out there, just keep your eyes and ears open. Fantastic gun, and currently the only restricted I own. Extremely accurate. I prefer the longer barrels for a greater sight radius. Coolest one I saw was an all black 9 1/2" barrelled one. Mine did not come with the magnum cylinder, but I can't say I miss it (I have shot Magnum 22's out of another one).

Prophet River carries them.... I recently picked up one of the Lipsey's exclusive 4.25" barreled ones.... great little plinker....

this is one gun i have always had a craving for but have yet to pick up.
i have 2 Herbert Schmidt 22/22mag six shooters from the 70's and 1 Heritage Arms 22/22mag Ruger knock off but have yet to pick up an official Ruger one.
with the prices going up up and up on them i really should have picked one a long time ago.

im kinda waiting for my dad to gift his down to me.

but i must admit, the single 10 with fiber optic front and the 5.5" barrel in stainless is sweeeeeeeeeeeeet looking.

I currently have 1 Herbert Shmidt, the 2nd one I've owned. Also had a Single Six Convertible which honestly wasn't all that better. Unless you can find a real deal they are, IMHO overpriced because of the name and Made in America. Flame on!
