Anyone running a PSA 7.5 upper in 5.56/223 or for that matter anyone running a 7.5 upper in any brand.

I know they are loud and spout fire, I have two 16s now and want something different, I am not concerned about velocity, fragmentation velocity etc. just lookin for the fun factor. Is it reliable? Will it last?

Thanks

I have a NEA with a 7.5 inch barrel in 5.56. I have found it works very reliably but have only fired a couple hundred rounds through it so far.

I've got one, and I love it!

It's just a lot of fun. It was a spare parts build with an upper I got off a friend. Very reliable, no problems at all. Lately I've been shooting a lot of .22's out of it with a CMMG drop-in kit.

I've got a PSA 8.5" upper with PSA BCG that's been pretty reliable. I'm waiting for SGW to get in some of the Aero m4e uppers so I can transplant the barrel into it. There's nothing wrong with the PSA receiver mine was forged by Anchor Harvey I just wanted the upper receiver to match my Aero lower. I'm also waiting on the Hera CQR furniture from wolverine to be exported from Germany to complete it. Right now it's got a MFT minimalist stock on it. Just keep in mind that they are going to be loud, I always double up with ear protection when using it.

That's good news.
Had an impulse buy from IRG a few nights back and was worried about buyers remorse.

I plan on sticking it on a lower that's got a T2 buffer, worst case I can get another lower and build it for the upper I guess.

That's exactly how I got my upper plus IRG already had it in Canada, I missed out on the Colt 16"s they had so I was checking their Canadian site to see if they had got any more in and instead i stumbled across the complete 8.5" upper and 5 days later it was at my door lol.

Ya they are pretty fun...

NEA 7.5 barrel in 556, Troy 9 inch rail, Dlask XB1... and very reliable. Never a failure.

I have a psa 7.5 and it's a blast. Runs flawless not the most accurate but for what it is im more than happy. Runs a bit dirty and is a bit over gassed but that's half the fun.

I've got a PWS Mk107 and it's had no issues at all. I was surprised at how little blast and muzzle flash it has--the "Triad" flash hider must be doing something I guess. It is so light and handy compared to longer-barreled ARs I've owned.

I have 2 ...one built with WOA 7.5 Barrel , other a Adam Arms upper . Both run flawless ( round count about 800 -1000 for both )

Only issue I have had is muscle memory after mag change is to put hand on hot muzzle brake since I have way way more time on longer handguard guns

Help now that I have a Magpul AFG for handstop

Pic below has optics that is too physically large . I prefer just the irons for the shorty
