APC223 Non restricted whos getting one ?

Nah ill just throw it straight in the scrap pile. not worth shipping back.

Luckily I found a couple rifles in my collection with chrome lined barrels, I was starting to think I wasn't going to have any left. I get to keep my Norinco M305 and my 9mm AR, everything else goes in the recycle box.

I almost bought one of these but got browned off when I saw they wanted a premium price for the 1:7 twist.

This is purely speculation and I admit there might be a perfectly rational explanation but without such information offered proactively I jumped to this conclusion...

It had the stench of something awry that they might be charging for the cost of a replacement 1:7 barrel and keeping the original 1:9 barrel to sell to us later. If that's what they're doing then we should get both barrels, since we're paying for both.

There's just no good reason why one barrel twist rate would cost different than another,

I've been in touch with Wolverine for years trying to get a nice 1:7 semi in 223 and when they finally got one... it had stink on it, and I just gave up.

I could have bought a Tavor, (which has a 1:7) but wanted something more traditional...although the X95 is attractive.

So instead I bought a Bushmaster ACR DMR. I don't think its as nice of a rifle as the B&T but it will do.... besides.. the Bushy 1:7 didn't cost extra.

Who knows... maybe a couple years from now I'll find a BT in EE for less.

They aren't charging more for the barrel.
They had in introductory price of 3600$ for this and after the first batch, all other batches were for 3900$. Just so happens that the 1:7 barrel wasn't the first batch

A $4000 police rifle without chrome lined barrel I will definitely pass. Too many corners cut it has become a novelty item rather than a rifle I can rely on.

why the fukc are people obsessed with chrome lining? it was a stop gap measure for destructive ammo. dont run destructive ammo in your gun and there is zero need for chrome. chrome has less accuracy and is a very old form of protection. modern VDC coating are far superior and dont just protect the inside of the barrel but everything.

i would be offended if a $4000 was chrome lined instead of the whole rifle treated.

whats wrong with a 1/9 barrel, it shoots better than he 1/7 if you shoot 55 grain... The fact that this gun has a 1/9 lothar walther is actually what convinced me to buy

b&t is the equal of hk in regards to quality, you can bet your life you can rely on it
lothar walther barrels are top quality barrels
you dont see douglas, krieger or bartlein barrels being chrome lined
chrome lining doesnt matter if you dont shoot corrosive crap ammo
why would you shoot crap garbage dirty ammo in this rifle
I dont get this contant fascination with chrome lining!
its a 4000$ rifle and you want to shoot surplus in it?
why not just shoot factory ae 55 grain if you want to plink around, thats what I do...
God cgn gets to me sometimes, i think i need a drink

Because I shot crap ammo thru my Cadex ...lol... and IDGAF :) . Ill be shooting all the cheap crap I can get my hands on thru my APC :) and it will probbaly group better than some other expensive NR rifles.
