Ruger m77-mark II express rifles

Okay now that that's out the way, find me a express in 30-06 with good or better wood - I had to look up what the rs actually was. Nice rifle.

I had another member provide me with a link to one that I didn't see in time and it sold this morning for $850 with very nice wood (south of the border).

I can put a request in for you... a couple of my friends are among the biggest Ruger collectors in the US... but that means they like to hang on to their pets... however, the ones they do let go are some of the nicest Ruger rifles you will see.

Time for a thread refresh.

A friend tipped me off to a available 300, and although it wasn't the 30-06 I am after, I made the deal. They are everything I hoped for. Beautiful rifles.

I looked at it... but didn't need a 300 Win... nice gun and good score... SB offered up a nice tip.

Yes he did. I appreciate it very much. Only problem is now I need a 30-06 aswell.... on the plus side they are uncommon enough to allow me to save up between finds.

I'm just glad one of us picked it up before someone else did.... That's one beautiful rifle..... will post up some pics on your behalf when I get home from the goose blind.....

I still need to do something to the trigger - it's got about 2" of creep.

Beautiful rifle! I've had RSM's in .375H&H (way too heavy for that cartridge IMHO) and .416Rigby (mine had problems with stock splitting), and they were very nicely put together. I've never seen an Express, and not for lack of looking.

Is the Express also equipped with that quarter rib integral to the barrel? I can only imagine what a custom gun builder would charge for that feature...

yes, they still have the integral rib, but standard action length, no stock cross bolt, and no second lug in the barrel channel. I agree 100% about the RSM in 375 being too heavy - I also had one in 458lott and it seemed about right for the cartridge. I should mention, these are not lightweights either - mine I would guess at 8lbs or a touch over.
