Looking at ordering one of the BOSS holster hanger packages for my CZ Shadow. Any recommendations on either the Bladetech or Comp-tac holsters? Also which spacer? Was thinking Standard.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Big fan of these guys. The hanger is made by springer precision I believe, much like the BOSS hanger but you can get a custom kydex holster with it as well.

That's one thing I don't have to think about in USPSA. They measure to inside of belt rather than your body.

Yeah, kinda sucks for big guys with mufffin tops tho, seen a few guys with the gun pressed into their love handles because they are max limit from the belt and skinny guys you can drive a truck between them and the gun. IPSC rule being measured from the body to gun makes more sense so its the distance from body to gun for all body type shooters.

I'd give Redhill Tactical a look as well, have seen a bunch of guys using them South of the border and the Hanger is decent and the holsters are really sweet and you can customize. If I didn't already have a rig and could wait through his lead time I'd likely end up with one of his setups. The double kydex are really nice as well.

But the width of the 2 layer belt is working against a skinny guy making it hard to meet the 50mm from body rule. You have to take most adapters or hangers off putting the skinny guy at a disadvantage. For those reason, the measurement from the belt makes more sense

How is it a disadvantage? Everybody gets 50mm between their body and the gun, seems pretty fair to me.

Because they cannot use most dropped and offset adapters.
I'm just stating that one measurement helps larger body type and the other measurement helps skinny body types.
As per the og question, the bladetech holster is also pretty good so I don't think you can go wrong either way

We cant all wear the same size shoes either but its not considered a disadvantage.
Not really, more like one measurement is unfair for larger body types and the other measurement makes it equal for everyone. You have to buy a belt that fits your body size so just buy a holster with a drop offset that does too.

No, it's really hard to get a holster to sit close enough if you're skinny. Trust the skinny guys on this one. You are wrong.

The BOSS hanger is pretty awesome.

All you'd need is longer screws and some spacers.

Long screw for bottom of mount to holster, and a rubber spacer. Tighten lower spacer until heel of gun is 50mm from your body.

I got a BOSS, and that solved all my problems. Standard spacers work for me. So awesome. Much rigid. Very holster. Too bad I still suck. At least I don't have to stand at an angle every time I see an RO with an overlay out.
