Nice pic.
Damn you and this thread, might have to buy an X95 now...

Took mine to the range on Sunday, Found out that my Eotech reticle is only good to 50 yards max for any sort of accuracy. The reticle is so big at 100 yards the slightest movement and you have an 8" grouping.
At 50 yards I had no problem doing 2" groups (could have done better if I wasn't bummed out) , once I get another scope I'm sure I could get close to that at 100 :)
One thing I noticed with the X is you cannot baby it, slam the mags and let the charging handle go fast or it will FTF. Pmag gen2 and LAR 10rnd worked perfect.

So what's the verdict so far?

Is the x95 a worthwhile "upgrade"?

(Upgrade in quotes because right now the x95 is only 100$ more than a tar-21)

Just home from the range. I fired roughly 200 rounds of American Eagle 55 grain .223 FMJ through my X95 with a meprolight MOR with the bullseye reticle.
After bore sighting and sighting in, I was easily hitting a 12" gong at 200 yards.I found the reticle to be a little busy and even with the illumination turned off it obscured the target at 100 yards and beyond. Under 100 yards it was much better.
I was shooting approximately 2" groups at 100 yards and 3" groups at 200. At 50 yards, my groups were about 3/4" to 1"
Overall, not too bad for what it is.
I found it difficult to aim precisely on a target with the MOR due to the size of the reticle but on a human sized target it wouldn't be difficult to aim and hit centre mass out to 300 yards or more.
It's a fun rifle to shoot and I am happy with my purchase but I may swap out the MOR for a trijicon Acupower 1-8 that I have set aside for a rifle I have on order to see how accurate it really is.

Just picked one of these up after selling my xcr-l. Loved the demo at csc so I grabbed one and was a bit disappointed when I got home and realized it didn't have the idf charging handle like the store demo (guess I should have read this thread first). Yes I am still keeping it, no you can't have it at a discount (I said disappointment not raging buyers remorse and butthurt). Does anyone sell the folding charging handle? Does anyone have the pistol grips in stock?

Those are the only two thing I really want to upgrade on it - the cheapo charging handle and grip.

@DILLIGAF Is that curved buttpad such an improvement ? I shouldered the stock one and I kinda liked it...

Never shouldered a Manticore curved tho, I heard its better when you have body armor and such

Who's getting decent five round groups with 55 grain ammo? I'm reading about 4-5 MOA. This is the only thing stopping me from buying one.

Wow I didn't know it was at that level of accuracy. Bullpups are CQB guns so what is a reasonable expectation?

This was shot with my new X95. 11 shots with 55 gr. Hornady fmj reloads at 100 yds.

I have so far shot two, 5 shot groups of 1.5" at 100 yds. My best so far, with Nosler 69 gr. match bullets and VV540 powder has been 1.348". This is my first Tavor. I am happy with the accuracy as it has been better than I expected. The hardest part is finding a decent rest when shooting groups. Lots of potential in this rifle. Going to try it in our CQB competitions soon.

Rugerman: Nice gorups!

I don't reload .223/5.56 but wish I did.

Today I removed the barrel ring to free the contact with barrel and plastic. I'll see if that improves my groupings with my retail ammo next outing.

Aprilia Man: I'm not at home but less than 31" OAL.

Any chance you could go into detail about how you did this? Is this difficult to do? Got a camera (lol)?

Doesn't that plastic ring that you removed support the front end of the handguard? I find it hard to believe that the Israeli designers would create deliberate contact between the barrel and handguard for no reason, knowing that it is likely to compromise barrel harmonics. I would be careful about removing parts from the rifle without definitely knowing their intended function, but that's just me. Not like it's a safety issue or anything dangerous, but still....

Anyhow, it's your rifle so it's your call. Please let us know the results when you get a chance to test your theory!

When Tim Harmsen tried it on his YouTube review, it did not make a difference one way or again.
