The American 180

I always thought it was the coolest little gun ever. High on my all time "wish I could own one" list.
It was a sad day years back when I first found out they were classed prohib :(

and now you've learned if the word "cool" and "gun" are in the same sentance its not alound lol...

nice little gun tho i like

I was watching Forgotten Weapons the other day, and saw the Polish WWII rifle, the wz.38M. Holy crap was that thing gorgeous! I told myself then and there that it was my dream gun, and one day I will own one.... Then I looked at the auction price and saw its expected to fetch $40 000-80 000, and like 5 were in private hands worldwide... Talk about a dream destroyer....

So I have decided the American 180 is my backup dream gun. They are only worth about 1/10th the price of the wz.38M.... Much more obtainable. Some day. lol

So, has anyone looked into what it takes to own one of these? Obviously they are prohib in Canada, but if I had a house in Arizona or something, are there any restrictions to someone who isn't an american citizen owning one (I know its a NFA item, not sure how that applies to non-residents ect?)

I'm going to revive this post only to say I just watched the video on YouTube, then came here to see if there was already a thread.

The varmints would not stand a chance...

Yeah...it's definitely an "i'd give my left one for it" kind of gun. :)

180 rounds of frustration every time!

I went to the distributor's office in Salt Lake City in 1970s. They had
all kinds of various mounts and sights in development for them
The Utah prison service used them with laser sights to stop a riot.
All the guns were made in Austria at that time. Great guns and cheap
to shoot, when you were allowed to do it
