I have a scope from my father inlaw who used to do a lot of competitive shooting years ago. I have never seen anything quite like it. It has 4 dials that move 2 reticle posts - each post moves independent of the other. They can both move horizontal and vertical.
Just wondered if anyone has ever seen a scope like this before

That... Is really cool. Leave it to the Germans lol. Could you possibly post a picture looking through the scope so we can see the reticle?

I 'believe' that your Nickel scope is designed for running target (deer etc) and the posts allow for lead when the target is going different directions ... just a guess as I wasnt paying attention to this when I investigated purchasing my 4x Nickel ... with traditional reticle ... and they are a darn good scope fwiw

That is definitely a find. How does it track and how is the glass?

It seems to track very well. Nice firm clicks and the glass is very good. Excellent eye relief. Many years ago the previous owner used to compete at national and international levels both in rifle and pistol and he had his own running boar track set up to practice complete with timer etc, so Tiriaq's correct

thanks - I have never seen this webpage - nice to have confirmation and information about it.

I think tiriaq has hit the nail on the head; one post for targets running left-to-right, and the other post for the opposite.

Not much use for any other shooting/hunting, unless all your targets are moving...:)
