CIL 174 "proof" marks and manufacturer

Hi Folks,
I have several CIL 22's from the 60's that I love. Anschutz made items are easy to identify. I suspect the 174 is a Brazilian made item but confirming it seems to be a bit of a problem. Can anyone confirm these makers marks against a reference?
I'm having a problem getting the links to the pics to work.. hopefully they are visible...


I've added more pictures of the 174 Trigger group, as well as a CIL 125 and CIL 180 Trigger group. I can't get the picture to turn out of the CIL Logo.... but it just says "CIL Model 174".
If anyone has more info on the 125 and 180 types of actions I'm certainly interested in learning!

That's a tough one, what with only these photos to go on. If you are wondering about the origin and manufacture of your CIL 174, it would be helpful to include a photo of the entire gun, including where it is stamped "174".

Just a thought, but it sure looks similar to a Lakefield Mk 1 assembly and bolt.

Is this the CIL 174 from the link




If it is, it doesn't look like it is related to Anschutz. The CIL Anschutz 125 (same as Anschutz 1400) uses the Flobert II action, while the CIL Anschutz 180 uses the 64 action. The Anschutz actions are shown in the following image, from a bird's eye view

CIL was not a manufacturer of firearms, but rebranded others as their own.
Take a look at the trigger and compare the two.

Yup.. understood. I'm trying to figure out who made this one. I can't find a match on the trigger group or bolt from any references I've found so I'm leaning towards it being one of the Brazilian built rifles. It functions pretty well and today I hope to run off some 25 and 50 yard targets and see how well!

I have a 171 (Brazilian CIL) here and will pull the stock to see, but I'm leaning towards yours being made in Canada.
