So it has long been a trick for pistol shooters to have a different prescription for their dominant eye (allowing them to focus clearly on the front sight), and another prescription for the other eye allowing for distance focus. I am at the point where I need to upgrade my prescription shooting glasses and I am pretty confident that for handgun this is the way to go. Not so sure about trap. Has anyone tried this set-up for trap or am I bast to stick with focus on the bird?

Ya, just get old enough to start figuring things out and then your eyes go....crap.

The last thing you want to do is focus on the bead. Hard focus on the bird is the only way to break targets.

Yup. For what it is worth our vision doesn't really work that way, or at least the brain doesn't. Making one eye hampered by being near sighted and one eye by being far sighted will cause you problems with accuracy especially on a moving target - likely a headache too

That is thing about shooting clays, all you need is a good fit and experience.

All the fun of getting older and more experienced. My eyes started to go in the last couple of years and sorting out what is what with what in the various shooting I do has been a challenge.
Thanks.
