So I took my new and first build (First AR) out to the range. I got 4 c products LAR magazines (steel). I kept having issues where it was double feeding. Could it the bcg not feeding in properly? or the magazine just being a LAR mag? Haven't tried any other mags, so I don't know if that is the issue.

I've never had problems with CPD LAR mags. Feed issues are usually mag problems, but seeing that you have 4 mags with the same issue, my vote is the problem is somewhere else.

What ammo are you using ? Did you try different ammo? Is your extractor in good shape ? Do you have the correct buffer for your setup ?

LAR mags are as close to STANG as it gets, an AR having issues with feeding it is typically with just one or two mags, having issues with all 4 is very rare.
Did you happen to notice where the casing is landing after ejecting from your rifles? did it land right beside your feet or 5+ ft away?

I have never had problems with lar mags in any of my ar s. More info needed ie barrel length buffer wieght ammo etc.

I have a iur upper with a Nea lower and a hh buffer shooting norinco 556 with no feeding problems at all. It even ran with a carbine buffer have you tried different mags or ammo?

3 oz buffer should be perfect running inside an IUR, however I am too sure what you meant by
The issue was in feeding after letting the bolt go forward.
do you mean release bolt to chamber the first round? do you hit the bolt release and it the spring slam the bolt forward or do you release the bolt by pulling the charging handle and have your hands ride all the way forward with the bolt?
