Has anyone ever seen one of these Sako converted Lee-Enfield's in Canada?
Apparently they were sold in Australia. I have looked over tons of sporterized Lee-Enfields in Canada and have yet to see one done by Sako. If you know of one, let me know.

Sako was owned by the Finnish Red Cross at one time, would you believe. :) Ownership was turned over to them for political reasons, after their defeat by the Soviets.

Those are nice old post war(2) sporter rifles made for folks on a budget, kinda like the Parker Hales & Churchill rifles that were all over our neck of the woods in the days, but cooler. The barrel appears to be fixed by a locking collar (Like Savage etc.) which is great for setting headspace. I've never seen one in person, but they would be fun to play with.

The locking collar appears to be more of a recoil lug setup?
Would headspace not be held to closer tolerance with the bolt head numbering system common to the #4?
Notice the machined recess in the bolt face...

That would be a prudent mod to machine the bolt face to accommodate a rimless cartridge like the .243 and judging by the pic of the bolt face, it appears to follow along the lines of the ones fitted to the Lee Enfield L42A1 sniper rifle in 7.62 NATO as far as the enlarged extractor goes.

Seeing as the rifle pictured already has a recoil lug under the receiver ring, I don't see any use for a second one.

Good point.

I'd like to see the ejector setup on the left side. Appears to be spring metal similar to a Win 97. Unless the left rear tab on the mag is it..? But judging by the bolt face, there's a projection that moves back and forth.

I did some digging and found that the thingy that looks like a lock ring is actually just the half-round sheet metal ring that held the rear of the wood upper handguard to the milspec rifle. So yes, these rifles have regular set barrels, no Brewer type fixing system. These are rare as hell..under 700 made.
