270 win Hodgedon book, 150gr sp horn 2740 W760 COAL seems way to long

I want to load some hornady 150grain SP 2740 for my 270 already put the CCI250 mag in the casings. I was just about to use the data from the Hodgedon manual when I notice that the 3.285"COAL seem a bit long compare to all the other COAL data is 3.210" in the hornady hand book. Hornady doesn't have any data for W760 in # 8 or #9 for 150 grain SP, does anyone have #10 manual to check the COAL when loading W760 with Hornady 150 2740.
I want to use the W760 because it's a good powder in my 308 so I wanted to use the same powder for both. I'm not so sure hodgedon COAL is correct for the 150 sp with W760. Any feedback would be welcomed about the COAL.
 
I load .270 Win with this bullet and Win 760 for a good friend. I use 3.210" COL as per Hornady 9th. No crimp. Magnum primers. This is my load sheet but please WORK UP YOUR OWN LOADS:

Unless you borrowed their rifle, who gives a sh!t what COAL they used?

Seat the bullet long (3.285) and see if it fits the magazine. If it doesn't, seat it deeper until it does. Make a note of that length in your log book as the MAX Mag Length. It will be max for any bullet.

Chamber the long round and then check for rifling marks. If none, you are good to go. If marks, seat another bullet in a case, with a quarter turn on he seater (about 12 thou deeper) and try that. keep seating deeper until there are no marks. That is the max length for that bullet. Make a note of it.

Now seat all the previous rounds to that depth.

I would like to confirm that the W760 with CCI250mag primers are compatible to use as a load with 150g sp, I'm not sure where the table came from below. I'm trying to do up some test rounds for accuracy.
 
760 should be a good powder. Try 46 to 50 gr. use the Mag primer.

I load the slower powder, 785. 760 will work, but you won't get top velocity.

When I say "46 to 50" I mean load 3 of each, in 0.5 gr increments and test for accuracy and pressure. If you find pressure, stop shooting and bring them home.
 
Ya thanks. I found a page from the hornady 4th edtion. shows data for the w760 for the 150 sp. I already have some test loads done up in IMR4831, and wanted to do the same with w760 to compare the two powders. so I think that the w760 with proper loads will be a safe bet to move forward into my test loads. Like I said it was just the COAL I wasn't sure of, I think I will start with the same coal that I used with the other powder, 3.215. this is a new rifle and I have only been mass loading for my go to hunters which I have tried tested and true recipes. This 270 rifle is the first in a while that I 'm doing test loads for. Thanks for your comments.

Under MOA, using win and FC cases, CCI250 primer, 51g W760, COAL 3.212, Hornady 2740. I find the Weatherby Vanguard S2 has a short chamber and I can only make the COAL only 2000ths more than the recommended length in the Hornady loading manual recommendation.
I found that adding to the COAL placed the bullet on the lands, but not every cartridge, so not sure why except maybe the projectiles vary in size. I guess this rifle likes more jump than less jump.

The speer hot cores 150 SP do not even fit in the chamber with out touching the lands using the speer recommended COAL, I know I will get more pressure if I shorten the length but if I try a couple of rounds and check for pressure things should be safe?
