Any tricks to get it loose? This is a used gun and the action screws were damn tight and had sticky stuff on them. I suspect the same sticky stuff on the break. If I didn't want to hunt with it I would just leave it as its nice to shoot off the bench. I don't like breaks while hunting so I tried to pull it off. No go. Any tricks to this. I was thinking hot water wouldn't be hot enough and pretty sure I'm not gonna put a torch to it.

It would appear loc-tite was used and acetone will dissolve the loc-tite and does not harm bluing of the rifle.
PAINT THO it will destroy quickly so be careful and in a well ventilated area.
Dip the brake in acetone, let it soak in good. then with whatever tools you are using wiggle it back and forth if possible to break up the loc-tite and allow more acetone to penetrate the threads.
Repeat will it spins off and you should be all good.
