I am in the market for a new BCG in my Colt Canada IUR. The High Standard BCG that the rifle came with runs fine but I have funds for a new one and I can relegate the High Standard to back up duty so I figured why not? What would be your recommendation in the $300-400 range? Would prefer something TiN or NiB coated for the extra lubricity.

I have one of these:

Picked it up at The Calgary Shooting Center a while back. Seems to function just dandy.

Auggie D.

Personally I wouldn't bother but it's your money. What will a new $400 BCG do that your current one won't? There have have cases of NiB BCGs having the coating flake off.

Stag have always had a reputation for excellent quality and were the go to long before BCM and DD were making ARs. I believe BCM even use to sell "upgraded" Stag BCG. Arms East sells them for a very reasonable price.

If you want a fancy coating I'd be tempted by nickle teflon which Stag now offers.

I picked up a spare Daniel defence bolt from wolverine a couple years back and thought it was good deal. Then the article on ar15 showed up from battlefield Las Vegas and they discussed the quality and longevity of the DD bolts and how they are their go to replacement bolt when the others fail.

I'm not trying to derail this thread, but ... please, tell me more about this. Thank you.
Yea. It is Norinco select fire CQA(converted by DIAS) which I have in back home country. We can have select fire rifles on prohibited firearms license there.
