I know the old Remington Vs Winchester debate. But i am looking at 2 rifles and can't make up my mind.

One is a Remington Sendero
The other is a Winchester Extreme.
I have held both guns and they feel good.
Both in 264win mag.

I already have a blued Hawkeye Ruger in 264 but would like SS due to the amount of rain we get here during hunting season.

Thanks

I have both guns, and I have to say, get the Winny. A heck of a lot lighter too. Depends I guess on if you shoot stationary or do lots of walking. From a blind, the Remington would do, but I wouldn't want to carry mine too far. The Winchester EW feels like a bag of feathers on my back in comparison.

Depends how you plan on hunting. I personally prefer the look of the Sendero with the blackened flutes, and I like HS Precision stocks better than B&C, but it's over 1 lb heavier so unless you're doing mainly bench/stand/blind shooting with minimal walking, I'd have to go for the Winchester, or find a Remington CDL SF and buy a McMillan stock.

Another vote for the EW m70 in .264 win, really like mine, currently loading up sum 130gr accubonds under reloader 33 to test, as New Zealand roar, (red deer rut) plans are on hold, due to tropical cyclone Debbie, dumping 200-300mm of rain in the hills, all rivers in major flood, so fiddling with rifle loads, on 7x57 and .264 both m70's, hopefully can get in for Friday or sat.
