So the L3+ doesn't come in 10x12"??

Just curious but is there a benefit to going with smaller sized plates if they are the same weight as the larger plates? I was considering the l3+ because they are larger and cover more body surface area but the thicker antispall on the l4 is nice to have.

bad time for finances, but hard to pass by. Thinking long and hard on this one - I already have LV4 ceramics but would like something for my wife in that unlikely WTSHTF event, but think she would be better off with PE due to weight.

Check the following link I found pretty helpful.
http://sixty-six.org/x_drive/proper_wear_of_armor.pdf

I have 8x10 plates, I'm 5'6 and my chest measurement is 40".
I have good range of motion with these plates, I can isoceles with no issue. I'm getting 10x12s for better coverage, I'll just have to adjust when shooting.

If you're taller/wider than me I would say get a larger plate!
If weights a big issue for you...I suggest getting ceramic or the hybrid plates S&J produces.

Plates feel heavy in the hand, but in a good carrier you will almost forget about the weight. At least for me, but i also have 20-40lbs of gear strapped to my body at work everyday. Consider this though, some people carry around 10-20lbs of extra body fat, wearing plates is kind of like that except you can shed it at a moments notice anytime you please.

Okay, so for a guy that's 6'3" and 220, desiring maximum coverage and protection from range NDs, and for the most avail size in plate carriers, what's recommended? Also want to grab these while it's still legal.

Most plate carriers arw sized for 10x 12 but you do find some in 11x 14. If you are on a budged a bunch of the condor carriers like the mopc take 11x 14.

I've sent out a message to everyone on the list.
The group buy is now a GO as we've met the minimum number of people interested.
Currently in the process of collecting all the funds so I can send the money off to S&J Hardware!
I'll try to arrange a meetup at a local spot depending on everybodys location.

I'm going to give it til the beginning of next week for those who haven't sent funds to confirm their order to do so.
Also I've only got one person interested in side plates.
Contact me as well if you would like some with your order.
