Hello,

After having a difficult time finding a2 flash hiders in Canada, and being put on a waiting list for months at my local gun shop, I finally found them at Brownells on sale right now for 5.99. Kind of hard to beat that with exchange and all. Just wanted to give a heads up if anyone is looking!

Cool.

For an A2 flash hider though I would have posted here looking for one in your area (I see no area below your avatar). I've given away a countless number of them from replacing them on my own, getting them in trades and being given them...

you should post a WTB in EE, a lot of people have many A2 in the spare parts box.

I posted a Wtb ad several months ago as well as kept an eye out for them on the ee, nothing worked out. I needed about 5 of them and to source one at a time would have taken a while. I searched all of the sponsors banners and contacted my local gun store on several occasions, still nothing. This has been a venture that was 6 months off and on in the making, and I feel I have done my due diligence. I try to keep money in Canada whenever possible...

Good luck buying one from Brownells. It will be a very expensive A2 flash hider. $250.00 to the state department, then the price of the FH. These are a restricted item according to them (USA).

I just ordered $370 USD worth of parts from Brownells including a Precision Armament M4-72 compensator without any difficulty whatsoever. You just have to fill out and sign the End User Statement that Sandy emails you if the order is over $100.

I shop local when I can but I couldn't find everything I wanted at any one retailer. In total, after shipping and foreign exchange, I am going to save about $180 CAD on the items I just ordered by using Brownells.

Not when an a2 flash hider is a significant military equipment ( sme)

Thats why some competition comoensator are ok to ship because of that ( ie dpms miculek)

Flash hiders are ITAR significant military equipment restricted and require a proper DSP-83 and DSP-5 (plus the $250 export permit)

Muzzle brakes, compensators, linear brakes, flash comps are not SME and can be exported under the $500 ITAR exemptions for registered DDTC exporters.

We carry some here too

I stand corrected.
