Swiss Arms CQB in black

Resurrecting this old post. I recently acquired one. Swiss Arms Black Special CQB - 553 configuration with a flat top. I always love seeing new variations on SAN rifles!

Oh nice! Is this the one that was at Calgary shooting Centre?

Yep, this one came from Calgary Shooting Centre. The retail price on SAN guns is a little hard to handle these days. But, I had heard only a couple of CQBs in this configuration were brought in, so just had to have it. Some of the rare configurations command a good price - the Blue Star, Red Devil, and the LB flat-top Classic Green carbine are two examples that spring to mind. There was also that run of season-themed PE90s that came in a number years back; I haven't seen many them resold but they were limited in numbers for sure.

There are no FRT numbers issued for the seasonal variants, so it is possible that the RCMP considers them prohibited.

Wow! That looks really good in black. I have a flat top CQB inbound, but is is a green. Been wanting a flat top CQB for a long time!

You won't be disappointed. Flat top is the way to go if you are mounting optics. I would also recommend the 3-position stock. Calgary shooting centre has one in green I think. Is there a dealer stocking the flat top CQB in green, or were you lucky enough to score one here on CGN?

Wow man that thing is beautiful. I've been on the fence with one for awhile. Have a nr converted carbine and a couple famae's but have a definite desire for a black cqb - identical to yours - and a heavy metal.

Happy for you. Hit me up if you're ever looking to part with it. .. hopefully by that time I can turn you down on account of not needing 2 ;)

Cheers,
Armand

Uncle Walther, is it ok to like the diopter sights, even on a cqb?

I love my SA rifles and have even set them up for various optic mounts, yet I keep returning to the diopeter sights.
I think the weight and bulk ruin the feel for me.
I imagine the cqb or carbine might do the same for me.

I really enjoy shooting the diopter models too. I just find they get a bit bulky and tall with an optics rail and the cheek riser mounted. In the end though, I've never met a SAN rifle I didn't like!

Well known member on CGN gave me a call on a rifle I had for sale to purchase it. Discovered during the course of conversation that he had a CQB he was thinking of selling. When I discovered it was a flat top a trade was quickly arranged and I paid him extra instead of him paying me! Funny how I things work out sometimes.
