They'll surplus them to the Italians but not us. Well at least the didn't end up on the ocean floor.

You're correct, that's a factory photo. They may only have a few, and they appear arsenal re-finished and used hard. These pistols were sold to several other governments, and are unlikely to be Canadian surplus.

They have buttstock attachment slot and rifle style adjustable sights and original barrel. Hmmm they selling them as rifles?
 
Among others Canada sent the TOE for an Infantry division to Belgium after WW II as military assistance. That included something like 1600 Inglis BHP's. Those guns were surplused by Belgium a few years ago. As I understand it the army took the chance to clean out old stocks and oddball stuff. Any of the early guns or Chinese contract stuff (tangent sights) they had were included. I've read that Canada also sent some 10,000 pistols to help re-equip the Dutch army in 1946. Not sure where these ended up or if the Dutch ever put them out onto the surplus market.
