Ruger Mark IV Hunter New In Box

Was almost excited for the 4's but the price isn't very good. Looked at the 3's but ended up with a browning new for $300. I might consider a ruger if it was $500 less then it is unless all of a sudden we are allowed to take them out and have some real fun with them.

I just bought a MK IV Hunter today, mine has the more bulky looking wood grips with the finger groves (can't say that I really like the look of them - just big); I always had minor trouble with the MK II take down, it's actually not so bad but it's just a matter of remembering all the tricks; I almost always have to watch the videos no matter how many times I've done it. after the last episode a couple of days ago I started looking for a MK IV just for fun and not seriously but after going through the web page of just about every dealer in the dealer network and finding none, I finally found just this one in stock and decided to snap it up. Expensive but I think it's going to be worth it. Now for the mail waiting game.... Without actually holding one, I think almost the only thing I wish it had was the fiber optic rear sight (has a fiber optic on the front, not the back); my MK II has the Williams Firesights front and back and I love them; as much as I would like the rear firesight, these guns appear to be so accurate with the factory sights, that I don't know that I could bring myself to change it.

I have not laid my sweaty little paws on mine yet but here are a couple of stock photos of the same unit; I never could bring myself to but a MKIII mainly because of that stupid looking loaded chamber indicator which, I hear, also caused reliability issues; I'm happy to see that they've gotten rid of that and also that they've changed the mag release from a European style to the American style as well as adding a spring loaded mechanism the squirts the mags right out no matter the angle of the firearm.

Hey Guys,
I live around the Carleton Place Ontario area. My range is in Smith Falls. I called Sean at Bennetts Bait N Tackle Shop, and he said he had one.....****NOTE***** I say "HAD", because when I found out he had one in his his hot little hands, I promptly told him to "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY" !!! j/k :p My father and I are collecting some nice target pistols to shoot, and to use as a nice way to spend time together, "shoot the breeze" as they say, bonding...the man's way. And and it gets him out into the fresh air too.

Anyway, we're going there tomorrow to complete the paperwork for my new Mark IV Hunter. So if anyone in the Ottawa area wants one, well, Sean at Bennetts Bait N Tackle Shop , is your place to go. Great bunch of guys and very easy to deal with. Oh, and they have a fantastic selection of rifles, ammo and everything else. Don't let the "bait and tackle" only, word fool ya. They're big on guns n ammo too. Trust me when I say it'll be worth your trip !!
talk to Sean, he's a standup guy, he'll hook ya up  !!

Wow love the grips on your Mark iv man !! I'm buying mine tomorrow. Most likely a deposit to hold it till I get the rest. But mine's the one with the regular wood grips. I wonder if I could buy those grips to swap out my stock ones ?.......hmmmm
How do you like yours so far ? I saw hickok45 do a review of his on YouTube. Can't wait to get my grubby paws on mine at the range muuuuahahahaha

( Does Anyone Else Have The Ruger Mark 1V ? )

Update; Took this out for an indoor shoot of 300 rounds and it was very accurate. No misfires or jams using American Eagle ammo.... Received the new Ruger .22 Mark IV Hunter stainless steel last week. The Mark IV is hard to get as they are new and not many around yet. The best new feature on this gun is the easy takedown in about 10 seconds with the barrel and bolt out ready to clean. Not cheap at about $1,000 for the Hunter.

I've got 3 of them so far....
