Since this is such an educational wildcat thread, has there ever been anything made up between the .284 & .308 class bores? There are numerous bore sizes with much less gap between that are successful....243/.257/.264/.277/.284 for example.
While I cannot speak for the Scirocco at any diameter smaller than 6mm, they perform very well indeed in all the larger diameters.
Very accurate if your rifle likes them, too. My custom 308 Norma shoots the 180 Scirocco II into under ½ moa. Dave.

So........I ended up working back in the Yukon all summer, up until a couple weeks ago, and wasn't able to pursue any of my hobbies since June. Hence no progress on any fronts...........I think I shall buy a 1-10 twist barrel and try some loads with it, surely I can achieve my goal somewhere with a 1-8, a 1-10 and a 1-12 set of barrels.
I have come home to an endless list of deficiencies around here that will preclude any gun work for a while, but I am hoping to clean up some of my ongoing projects this winter. I have just thought of another that I am definitely going to undertake, but I'll start a new thread so as not to convolute this one too much.
