No lawful gun owner would ever accept this behaviour. Our problem is that we are being painted with their brush. It's time to take the fight to the problem.

Completely agree. If you see this stuff happening, get the info and drop a dime.

These people will drag us all down.

I find the irony about the Shooting at Night commets...
Especially since there is a very vocal group advocating heading out after dark to go and blast a few rounds into the night darkness in the name of fun.

As you sow, so shall you reap. Irresponsible people will always affect those who are being responsible. There's nothing wrong with reporting people violating the law and those who are acting in an unsafe manor. Great video.
 
Socialism , personal responsibility , parenting , unaccountability , liberalism , we voted for this behavior provincially and federally for decades now and consequences are showing up .
 
Between dumpers, mountain bikers and irresponsible shooters, lots of FSR's are pretty messy these days. Most of us have video cameras in our pockets these days, making observation even easier and they can be emailed to officers too. Unless you are actual friends with someone doing this crap and can influence them, often going straight to officers is a good plan.

I think the video would be more effective if it was 1/3 or 1/2 as long though. Almost 11 minutes is a long time for most people to watch PSA's like this, especially as it's a bit repetitive. Just constructive criticism, as the message is good and most of us aren't putting in the effort to make videos like this.
 
Agreed, it's totally unacceptable behaviour. Especially the dumping of garbage etc, in my rural community of about 1000 people we have a transfer station. I had a fully loaded truck including a stove we replaced, 5 bags of garbage and all our recycling and it cost me $10-15 to drop it all off. So there's no excuse for dumping garbage in the bush, thankfully in our area I haven't seen much dumping in the areas I frequent. I clean up after myself and if I see casings or hulls lying around I take them out as I leave.
 
There is a certain type of person that enjoys this type of behavior, and unfortunately those people seem to be increasing in numbers.

Here on Van Isle we've seen the impact these morons can make when it comes to people enjoying the backwoods. Due to their reckless irresponsible behavior we now suffer with a lack of backroad access.

On any given outting I can fill a garbage bag full of shotgun shells or blown to $hit appliances........... and I do.

2 mins 42 seconds, that's the average YouTube attention span, videos over 4 mins suffer. As Gate suggests try and keep it short, as many of us watch these things on cellular connections too. It'll have more legs.

Especially if you are trying to get a message across. Sure, us gunnies will sit through 11 minutes (actually, I made it about 2 minutes, the message is loud and clear in the lower mainland with the new shooting closures that just came into effect) but if you are trying to reach a bigger audience than your regulars, you need to consider how long it'll hold their attention.

Maybe recut the video, down to 3min, and then we can try to turn it into the next big facebook sensation or whatever? lol

Head on over to Mount Arrowsmith and head up the Tower road.
When one gets to the top and to the look out there is a pile of trash that has been building for years.
There is a pile that has to be at least 50 or 60 feet deep of trash.
Very Sad indeed.

So, some are calling RC's video to long?
How about stepping up and showing how to do better?
He is passionate about his activity and has taken a step forward.

Thanks for sharing. Not all of gun owners are "law abiding" so think twice when you talk about "law abiding gun owners" ...

A-holes are in all groups of people. Gun owners are not an exception.

You cannot legislate stupid. But if caught, they should lose their license for life. Shooting on public roads is just plain crazy.

The only question is: were they the legal gun owners that did that?
 
Doesn't matter what the activity is, we all pay for the actions of a few. Nothing new and it won't ever change. If it did, we wouldn't have law makers and enforcers.
