Was wondering if their is an all round best supplier that one can order from instead of pieces here and their? (supplies etc..)
Thanks!

Shooter's Choice in Waterloo, Ontario also carries the same as Marstar, plus black powder. As for bits and pieces, they have alot of them for sale too. Hope that helps.

It takes me to the GunRoom, Shooters Choice?? Have been leaning towards Track of the Wolf, shipping is good with them. Gun Room not that much in extras, good in collection of BP guns. TOTW .54 balls $10, locally $30, might as well buy casting mold.

Thanks!

Casting is easy. You just need to find pure lead.

Locally, you are at the mercy and indifference of suppliers who only stock a few sizes of round balls, minie balls, or maxi balls.

Buy molds from T of W, an iron casting pot, a ladle, and use a camp stove to melt your lead.

Or, buy a Lee electric melting pot.

Hillfolk Musket Supplies, Senlac, Saskatchewan are great to deal with. They don't have a web site but give them a call and Becky can get you almost anything black poweder related.

Have always had good luck using Dixie Gun Works-they ship to Canada and have just about everything I need. Track of the Wolf is also superb, unfortunately our market in Canada is small enough that it would not encourage a Canadian company to set up the same as those have and we are stuck buying in US bucks.

Ive searched Rusty Wood site, not much their , never e-mailed them :(
Ive looked at Dixe also, they dont ship to Canada Pistol wise, they do have the Trapper Pistol, parts wise Track has them beat, it is a nice site to browse, Would love to get the .50 call Cannon they have, funny theirs no ban on that to be shipped to Canada lol.
I did order the .54 caliber cleaning set, the 12" hickory 3/8" diameter rod and a couple flints from Tracks. Leaning towards to Ball molds from Track and the screw on tap top for the powder can instead of a whole brass/horn powder, they dont seam to have a Pan Primer though, Dixie does. So the loading brass is the next items I need, locally nothing, besides batches, their not carrying anything. Too bad its a dying art.
Thanks!

Track of The Wolf or The Gun Works Muzzleloading Emporium in Eugene, Oregon.

Great guy. Stopped in there on a trip through the States and got lots of advice as well.

I have ordered stuff from these guys. A revolver conversion cylinder was one. No problem shipping CA.

Taylorsfirearms, nice stuff. Flask Spout Model 4013, how do these work, if Im looking right they screw on top of the flask but theirs nothing to stop it to measure out the specific grainage, just look like tubes ?

The tube screws into a spigot. The spigot screws into the flask. You cut the tube down to measure the desired volume charge. Put your finger over the tube, open the spigot and shake to charge the tube. If Taylor offers different tube lengths they are just offering an off the shelf charge volume option.

BTB - It's considered a Modern BP Shooting NO-NO to charge directly from a flask. I may have to dawn my flame suite now:rolleyes:
