SKS 2017 price check

It all depends on condition now too as the level of supergrade had changed dramatically over the years...both up and down. Way back when you bought all numbers matching, but frankenpinned and never gave a thought to shooting the crap out of it because they were cheap. Now I see people buying supergrades from Kamloops CTC for $370 plus tax and they are worse than the old crap ones. I think it all depends on how long you have been playing with them that will set your expectations.

This is one I own and what I consider supergrade with full match serials throughout and clean mag...and also wouldn't be owned for anywhere near $350.

So I guess it depends on what your expectations are, but to put a catch all price might make you miss out on a truly premium piece. Another example is an M59/66 which in fired condition with only the stamped serial number set and riveted mag seems to be running in the $800 range, but the last one I saw go on the EE with the double serial number set/penciled stock and clean mag lasted about an hour at a $1700 asking price, so who knows.

I think $350 is fair for the best all matching unissued examples.
Having said that. I have some unissued as new SKS from weimajack that I won't sell for $350.
Simply because I could never replace them for that.

If you mean a Traditional SKS with the wooden stock they can easily be found for under 250.00

He is talking about collector grade pieces that fetch a premium for those who collect. Not just an average shooter SKS. Unissued, nonrefurb 53/54 Izhevsk can likely be sold for more than $350 if it came up for sale. Non franken pinned, internally pinned complete, parts correct for date, numbers matching blued metalwork 49 will fetch a premium as well.

I guess now we know what they will be listed for as they are up on the EE for $400-450 :) Let us know how you make out!

Yes I just sold 4 unrefurb select grade SKS (hand picked in a hand picked lot of Weimajack a couple of years ago):

  1. 1953 Tula: 400$
  2. 1954 Tula: 350$
  3. 1956 Tula "N" Series: 450$
  4. 1956 Tula "K" Series: 450$

Shipping was not included on those. All 4 sold the day I listed the ad on the EE.

For how much goes the SKS in 2017? Specially unrefurb, unfired all matching collector's pieces.

You are saying unrefurb/unfired and all matching, the would mean basically a NOS sks, there are those in Chinese and yugo, but have not seen or heard of any in Russian, they may be around, now there are lots of non refurbs all matching, they go for $250-$350!

And when we say "all matching", does that include mag serial? Do those actually exist? My 51 Tula is un-refurbed, and numbered matching with the exception of the mag. Kinda disappointing really.

Im in the market for one and dont know much about them. I found a store near me that is selling refurb unissued all matching for 259.99. I guess thats a good price then?

Seems to be the going rate. "Refurb unissued" describes most of what is on the market. Refurbished but not issued after refurbishment. It's a generic refurb description. Like "supergrade" whatever that means. Or "hand selected". Meaningless sales terms that make the buyer think they're getting something special.
