If you had a bet with a friend for a 100yds challenge, where would you start for a load development? Or any suggestions. Only 100yds.....I have a few boxes of 178gr Amax but a lighter weight with flat base might be better?

I was thinking 155gr Scenar bullets. (Not flat base though)

My barrel is a Broughton 11 twist 24''

I'm using Varget, Lapua brass and CCI 200 primers.

Thanks

Black hills factory 175 stuff shoots low .100s in a 11.25 twist 308. Get your hands on some of that stuff and save the reloading fir another time.

In my Ruger 77 International, and my Savage hog hunter the most accurate bullet is the 220 Sierra round nose in front of IMR 4320, not what I would call a classic accuracy load, but both rifles shoot these better than anything else I have tried, going to use this next hunting season.

125 grain speer TNT bullets over 48 grains of H4350 with a standard cci large rifle primer...under .2 all day long in a 80's remington BDL varmint rifle....winchester brass and lots of jump as the bullet is seated right at the neck shoulder junction
