Last Saturday, I found Cabellas' here in Ottawa, a great store but, then I saw the crates of ammo. Wow, should have bought more. I think that it was about $340 for 1,400 rounds.

I lost track of the price since I have stopped shooting.

Ya it's at the price where it might make sense to shoot non corrosive and reload.

Even the price for components is going sky high.

Not 10 years ago I could get a pound of powder for $20, it's $40 now. .308/.311 Bullets? $18 for 100. Now? $40 and up.

It's getting insane.

Can't remember the exact price but Cabelas is having an easter sale and the 7.62x39 is listed. I believe the sale was for the 1500 round cases. (Corrosive of course)

yeah, the last crates of 7.62x39 I bought was from SFRC at their grand opening for the new store...$165 walk-in special for 1320...prices now are hurting my wallet...I try not to shoot quite as much as I used to, and I leave a 1200 crate of Czech stripper clipped ammo unopened for "just in case"...got that one from wolverine for I think $189, regular price used to be $199, I bought 4...

In the cabelas flyer today showed 1500rd crates of corrosive Chinese ammo for $299. Not as cheap as before but a decent deal for those looking for ammo today.

Thanks for the heads up Redblack! Cabelas Ottawa has lots of Chinese 1500/$299.99. They also have 1400 or 1500 Russian (can't remember exact quantity) for $330. Empty ammo boxes are going for $30😱 So ones with ammo in are a much better buy(lol). Sale may be on till 19 April according to the employee that I spoke to.
Better to get it while cheap. August 2016 same Chinese was $260. Bullseye had 300 Czech on stripper clips for $75 and they all went shortly after Christmas!
