Watching Switzer's auction live online and seeing really cool prohibs going for 200/300/400 bucks.

I feel like a poor kid with my nose pressed against the window of a toy store at Christmas. :(

Welcome to Canada where taking your guns and preventing you to get more and more of them is priority #1. Soon only Criminals will have those cool guns ain't Canada great

Yes, but since all now-registered handguns in Canada will probably be gone in that future scenario, the government will be unable to claim that illegal handguns in criminal hands were all stolen from law-abiding gun owners.

So, they will probably simply deny that illegal handguns in criminal hands actually exist, except in "isolated incidents".

The last generation of gun owners that are allowed prohibs probably have a different point of view... having watched the value of their collections slashed to 25% or less of their worth.

Depends on your situation.

I have only a .25 auto at present, so those prices make buying a prohib 4" barrel .38 Special Colt or S&W revolver quite appealing.

Ahh my 2" 38 Special. Special dream that is. If I was allowed to own one of these I would instantly become a criminal, something about a 4.25" barrel that keeps me on the straight and narrow. I wonder if I would become only kinda bad if I had a 4" barrel?

You can still buy one, you need an agreement with a store that can de-activate prohibited weapons, they will need to accept that it will be shipped to them for de-activation (both the store and the auction need to agree to this)(Never been an issue). I have purchased several this way
