Hey everyone! I've been trying to source out one of these pistol out for my dog training and I can't find one anywhere! Everyone that used to sell them doesn't anymore. Do any of you fine folk know where I can find one? Or maybe someone has one laying around they don't use anymore.

look up Canadian gun dog supply or other dog training supply stores online.
i skipped the starter pistol , started off with a toy cap gun and than transitioned to the bird launcher, first without birds just with 22 blanks from home depot, they sound loud from that thing and than used it to launch birds. 2 birds with one stone ...or launcher should i say...

I've already checked all the Canadian gun dog sites and they seem to have taken the pistols off their websites. I'm waiting for a call back from one of them just outside of town to see what they have to say. I'd consider going a different route but this is my first go at training a gun dog and I'm getting help from a local guy who has been doing it for 20+ years and everything he's done with us so far has been awesome, so I'll stick to what he has planned

If you can't find one, maybe a modern muzzle loader would suffice. Just leave out the powder.

Thanks I've already thought of that as a last resort. Be nice to have a small compact unit that's easier to use
