Killing hibernating bears

Do not agree with trophy hunting however, subsistence is fine with me. Fact is if I had somebody take me out hunting that wasn't for trophy I would join them. Get some meat out of it, I really love moose!

The defense of such a practice in reality as a normal hunt is unethical. I think perhaps you're more interested in offending everybody by hating on Obama while seeming to support Trump with alternative facts. My personal opinion is the practice is only for a specific set of circumstances that are either for the good of bear or bears and or the human population.
 
DNR is currently investigating a similar incident here ( it's illegal). The bear was smoked out of his den then shot and left. Hope they catch them...I'd be all for public Caneing in this instance! Cowardly ####ers.
 
What a low move. Especially that stuff about poachers radio tracking a collared bear back to it's den and killing it in it's sleep.

I find this makes perfect sense for killing known problem bears, shoot them while they are "unlikely" to be a threat.
 
That sounds as sporting as using dogs to tree a cougar and then shooting the cougar out of the tree,

Since you're new here, what's your definition of trophy hunting?

That term gets thrown around too loosely these days......... it ain't just Bear, and a "Trophy" sized game animal is still edible.

I'm no Trump supporter. Lol. Go do some research for yourself if you choose not to believe me.

I never said I was defending the practice as a anormal hunt or that it was ethical, in fact, if you go back and read my post, a little slower this time, you'll see that I stated it was something that's only done in special circumstances for the safety of people using the parks and federal lands.

Also, I don't think "hating on" Obama is going to offend very many people here reading this forum, So if you think that was my goal, then I obviously need to find a different website to accomplish it!

don't hunt but support hunting rights and practices as most of my friends do--need to keep numbers stable for disease etc--but i find this big time chicken s--t either way you look at it unless your starving and need it to survive---

just to go on record sunshine---i support Trump and think Obama was an 8 year disaster--just for the record--irrelevant to this thread-just couldn't help it lol

I find it very interesting that killing bears in dens was even allowed under the Obama regime.
