CDTSA - Milo Range CQB Clinic 29-30 April 2017 Debrief here...

Fzcking Food Coma Stop. We are all gonna roll out of here. It was a fantastic day. We had six targets across and eight relays to cycle through. I will let you do the Math. Latest clinic I ever put through. Tomorrow we do modified prone and shooting on the move. All great fun

Cheers
Barney

Wow what a great bunch of shooters we got for the first day.
I'm pretty proud of the community we are building for CQB in Milo here you should all give yourself a big pat on the backs
Cheers
Buckaroo

Wow, thanks for a great couple of days. It was nice to see so many interested in the sport. Thank you to the volunteers, all our relay partners and a great group of people all around, and of course huge thanks to Barney for the laughs and our new skills. Good news is I think my wife may even come back.....

Cheers,
Boogz

Damn that was fun! Is there a special place to put up our pictures and videos? A Facebook page somewhere and in this thread? It would be nice to see everyone's pics and video's.

Gotta say that was the best $80 I've ever spent on shooting !! The course was done without pressure, was very safe, and a lot of fun. And the weather even cooperated. Big applause to Barney, Buckaroo, and the other safety people who helped out this weekend. CQB in Alberta is off to a great start thanks to this course and I'll definitely be back to the Milo range for more of the same. Well done everyone !!

Place you vids and pictures to whichever host you like to use like, Imgur or Photobucket and share them right here in this thread....

No food coma tonight but here in our trailer parked on the range we are already planning some more fun for you great CQB community folks. and I'm not posting any hints, hahahaha.

Enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks to all who put this together. Thanks Barney, thanks buckaroo and all attended...! Will post some pics and videos shortly.

Loved it, thanks Barney and Buckaroo! What did I learn:
1. Lube your AR and Handgun, wet BC works better than dry
2. Carry a zippo
3. I need to shoot more.
4. DD, HK and KnightsA are very reliable
5. 3x magnifier would be appreciated
6.See no 1.

Thanks everyone for the fun and safe participation, good group of shooters. I'll be shooting for the mid June CQB match as I'm conflicted in two weeks, hope to see everyone there.

My cheap Norinco and TP9SF didn't fail me as well; not a single hickup; I'm impressed with the results... Gave them a total clean-up last night, they are ready for the match...!

7. Don't buy a NEA or T97
8. Buy a norinco M4
9. Ganderite is one hell of a shot
10. Keep your desert eager at home

All in all it was a great clinic, I met some new people and had lots of fun. It was a great turnout with 48 shooters over 6 lanes.

I think I'm in love with the modified prone position, unreal how tight of groups you can get with it. I tried the 'pool cue' support and gripping the mag well, and found both to work equally well with this 10.5" AR.

Thanks again Barney, I had a blast.

First off.....

A big Alberta Thank you to Barney and Wade (Buckaroo) whose efforts are greatly appreciated which:

*made this a successful clinic/course

*planted the seeds to build a thriving Service Rifle CQB community here in Alberta

I have a feeling there will be great things in store for all of us that participate!!

Further, I should also like to thank my home club of the CDTSA for allowing the use of their facility in this manor. Many clubs would not have let this happen.

This was the first opportunity I have had to visit the Milo Facility, and was very impressed!! I truly think it will be a world class facility, and we are truly fortunate to have it!!

On to business. Many who attended have posted videos of the drills and courses of fire. I will take a little different track, and post some of the behind the scene photo's.

Remember, this course had 48 participant, organizes into squads of eight over six lanes. As Barney would say............You do the MATH!!

This was a very well organized and orderly course!! This was Largely due to the Organizers, but also because of the shooters themselves.

All participants came with a great attitude, were prepared with their gear along with their own folding tables and chairs!!

Here are a few pic's:

Well that is it for now.

I hope to have a chance to write an After Action Report as time allows.

Thanks again, and I would be happy to filed any comments of questions any of you might have!!

See you all Next time!!

regards and all the best

AbH
