First off.....
A big Alberta Thank you to Barney and Wade (Buckaroo) whose efforts are greatly appreciated which:
*made this a successful clinic/course
*planted the seeds to build a thriving Service Rifle CQB community here in Alberta
I have a feeling there will be great things in store for all of us that participate!!
Further, I should also like to thank my home club of the CDTSA for allowing the use of their facility in this manor. Many clubs would not have let this happen.
This was the first opportunity I have had to visit the Milo Facility, and was very impressed!! I truly think it will be a world class facility, and we are truly fortunate to have it!!
On to business. Many who attended have posted videos of the drills and courses of fire. I will take a little different track, and post some of the behind the scene photo's.
Remember, this course had 48 participant, organizes into squads of eight over six lanes. As Barney would say............You do the MATH!!
This was a very well organized and orderly course!! This was Largely due to the Organizers, but also because of the shooters themselves.
All participants came with a great attitude, were prepared with their gear along with their own folding tables and chairs!!
Here are a few pic's:
The one shooting bay we all used
The man himself
Only SOME of the hardware that was used
Some participants taking a break
Other paticpants making sure to dring enough fluids and have a rest between relays
A gratuitous picture of that Alberta Sky!!
A shot of the registration tabels
A meeting between Barney, Buckaroo, and the range saftey officers (who did and excellent job by the way!!)
Back at it, one realy is done, and the next is about to start
Shooters waiting for thier relay
Well that is it for now.
I hope to have a chance to write an After Action Report as time allows.
Thanks again, and I would be happy to filed any comments of questions any of you might have!!
See you all Next time!!
regards and all the best
