SVT40s

Peaks and valley's I think .. I've also heard of some being kept back, I think to raise market value. I expect we'll see them pop up again, but it looks like numbers are dwindling.
 
As soon as supply of a milsurp firearm dries up in Canada the price sky rockets. It will settle down after a while.

Don't be in any particular rush there are a lot of SVT-40s in Canada.
 
Yes i noticed the price of svt40's skyrocketed recently. I assume someone was selling some special one and everyone else selling their svt40's assumed they had a special one too so they jacked the price up on theirs. End of the day they are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. I personally wouldn't pay more than $350 for a stock one, little bit more if it has sniper rails and alot more if it has the sniper notch.
 
Tradex has Tula and Izzy's for $650 right now. Leverarms in Vancouver was selling them for $400, they also had the Podolsk arsenal for $600-700. I grabbed a grade A off them in January. For $754 with shipping they sure packaged it poorly. Big empty box and it had from Vancouver to Edmonton to bang around. No damage thank God! I recommend telling them to bubble wrap it though of anyone orders from them.

Trades had them at $695. Sold fast.
 
I think mine was 300 taxes in on sale a few years ago. Thought about an sks but these just seemed cooler, bigger calibre and I really liked the sights.
 
I my first 3 years ago for 219+ tax, and one last month for 500. The ones listed for 700 now are nice examples. I guess they're worth what people will pay! I'm glad I've got 2 in the safe anyways.

True....it is just a matter of supply and demand . There are lots of rifles around far better than a SVT 40 for the money unless you are a milsurp collector .

Ya, tradex seems to have a lot of loyal buyers (myself included) but that did seem a bit high. Although considering that our $ is crashing, it'll seem cheap soon :(
