Source for pure lead in Southern Ontario

I'm just getting started in casting, but since I'm starting off with roundballs for my flintlock I believe I need pure lead.

Does anyone have any sources in southern Ontario (it seems lead costs as much to ship as to buy)?

I'm often around Toronto, King, Burlington, and Parry Sound so I figure there must be somewhere around or between those locations I can find some?

Everywhere I have contacted so far only sells in large quantities.
 
Not sure about pure lead but if you contact Bell telephone line maintenances they've used lead for years to cover their line connections and may even have some laying around. I used to get it to make all my fishing lures and weights. The most I ever got at once was 132 lbs. some had a tar like wrapper on it from underground applications but it came off during the melting prosses. There was a lot of it about 15-20 years ago. It doesn't hurt to ask though.
 
You might consider those lead sheets that they put around stovepipes, chimneys, or exhaust vents on roofs.
They are soft lead, and get removed every time a house gets new roofing.
I have melted a few down and they are pretty much dead soft, as muzzleloader balls should be.
Roofing guys advertise them for sale on Kijiji and places like that.

I'm almost thinking I should have started casting for the 44 special first since I probably could have grabbed some scrap instead of all this trying to figure out what is just lead >.<
