Well bought my new scope, Vortex PST Gen II 5-25x FFP 30mm tube, need advice on rings don't know much, first real long range setup going on a 338Lapua 20MOA rail. I am used to mounting low power scopes in QD full mounts where the weight wasn't much of an issue.

Leaning towards Vortex Mid Height Percision rings but open to ideas or reason to go a different rout.

Thanks!!!

More info on the rifle would be helpful.
Our low rings work on many bolt action rifles with that optic, but without knowing exactly what the rifle/stock combination is all you will get is useless conjecture.

I purchased Nightforce Xtreme 4 bolt rings to mount my Vortex AMG to my Remington 700 and have been very happy with the quality. Can't comment on a height for you as I don't know that rifle too well.

Thanks, Wow that is one hell of a scope I believe for those shooters that can affourd it will be the tops of leader boards next season. Best of luck. Getting into the long range game a $1600 scope was the first small step.

Compare the NF rings and the ATRS rings side by side and you will clearly see the ATRS product is substantially better quality and a much better price. NF makes good scopes, but the quality of their accessories is sub-par, especially considering their ridiculous prices.

Thanks for that, I am talking to them now to sort out the right heights and they are a good price and the reviews I have seen now give a lot of praise to the quality.
