If you are in the NCR on the Victoria Day weekend (19-21 May) check out the annual Tulip Festival and the display at Landsdowne Park. There will be military vehicles, a military encampment and reenactors doing the heroic Battle of Landsdowne Park (standing in for Groningen) so there will be lots of booms and bangs going off (afternoon of the 20th) . Friday night (19th) there is a swing dance (if you are into that) and a big band playing on Sat the 20th..................... Oh yeah there is a couple gazillion tulips to see also.

Lots of booms and bangs are guaranteed :) We will make sure of that. 2017 will be busy year for reenactors and vehicle owners. One more museum on top of regular venues asked our group to attend and do public battle demo. Also, this year we got green light to do Ost front battle demo, first time in Canada AFAIK. Both sides will have operational MG's, SMG's and AT cannons.
If anyone is interested, I can post this year's schedule for public WW2 events.

XRCD011, you should bring one of the toys to Keswick museum. Btw, I still have a piece of that Kettenkrad you were handing out 2 years ago in Oshawa.

Ahhh the two-lips festival, that was always my favourite Ottawa festivity. It was the first time after the long winter that hot girls could be seen outside in something other than a winter parka, highshool memories!

Hello,
Just saw your post... Would you know whom I should contact if I am interested in reenacting? I have full German uniform set + gear and, of course my K98.
Best regards,
Andrew

Maybe PM VuDu666 would be your safest bet to get into the reenacting scene at Tulip Fest. I do not reenact myself and I am loath to just say "come on down" as its not my place to.
