Tikka T3x Lite Barreled Action Weight

If you can find a T3 superlight (fluted), my 22-250 was 5.9lb from the factory. The plastic stock was around 29 ounces and the hunters edge I replaced it with was 24. The rifle ended up at 5lbs 9 ounces I think.

I think the magnum calibers were a few ounces heavier due to the 24" barrels.

A wildcat stock can shave another 4 ounces from that.

Super lite is a normal tikka lite with flutes in the barrel. I wouldn't pay extra for a t3x, atleast not a few hundred more.. U can do the aluminum bolt shroud upgrade for pretty cheap and probably get the tikka lite for much cheaper than a t3x I bet

I'm not hellbent on the new model but it's getting hard to find a t3 on the new market. I'm pretty sure they're mostly all cleared out. I'm not opposed to used. I'm specific in what I want (a stainless t3 lite or superlight in 7mm rem mag/300wm with a low round count) so if anyone has a one you want to part with definitely shoot me a PM.

That being said, the tikka is a very budget friendly rifle so if did buy new it wouldn't be the end of the world.
