Surplus German G3 Battle Rifle double mag pouches from the Cold War years. Vinyl ones from the 1970's and plastic ones from the 1980's & early 1990's.. $4.99 each at both the Calgary princess auto locations in limited quantities...... you never know what is going to show up in those stores. I could not believe my eyes when I found them, not trying to slight any site sponsors, but never have seen them anywhere else.

Saw them, pretty ####ty compared to Yank mag pouches. Gotta wonder what goes through their square heads. Fighting the Russians with vinyl equipment ? Guess they've forgotten their last experience with winters in Mother Russia. :) Got a pair of German binoculars with a vinyl sling as well. By the time the temperature hits freezing, it's stiff as a board.

I have a couple of the rigid shell ones (got them a few years ago at a gun show), and they are most definitely not vinyl. I use them for my M14 mags, and they're great. Just big enough for the mags to slide in and out easily, quite thick rubber means that they do a great job of damping any sound from the mags rattling inside, fairly lighweight. Held up very well.

I had about 100 of them a couple years ago, sold them all to a sight sponsor for dirt cheap. They are surprisingly well made, just ugly and not what the cool kids want.

Is that what those are? I've been looking at them wondering what army...

The Kamloops store has a bunch of them, was looking at them a few weeks ago on my way down to the big cess pool they call Vancouver lol. Didn't buy any but they seem well built, they are German after all.
