Hello

Well I am still unable to post a reply in the EE section. IF I see a seller who has something I would like to buy, I am unable to post a reply to his/her ad stating my interest. I can send a private message to the seller and hoe that the seller sees it IF their message box is not full.
This has been this way since the beginning of my membership and others have advised me to just send private emails.
I can post my own sales items in the EE section with no problems.
This is the message I get when I try to reply to someone`s sales post:

Help / Thoughts ?

This was done to prevent the heckling of ads, demands for more pictures and a whole host of other issues. Mostly the heckling in my opinion. (Basically, because about 10% of the ads I see I want to heckle, so I guess it's because of me: sorry)

If you send me $20 by EMT I will give you the secret password that unlocks all the EE ads to accept your replies.

Kidding.... as stated, PM is the method of communication for the EE.

You most contact a moderator and they are able to tell someone there box is full. Or buy an upgraded membership and it allows you to send messages to a full box. It's a perk of upgrading

ok
So the ONLY way to let the seller know is through their private messages and if there FULL your out of luck and loose the purchase.
Thanks
George

If their in box is full, they'll get a notice that you tried to pm them. Try again later that day and hopefully they'll have emptied their box by then.

Used to be able to respond and it was a sh*T show. Saves on the window shoppers, and the people that post GLWS, or nice gun.

Yup.
A full mailbox triggers a notice to the member's email address.

Not to derail as it is still on the topic... I have a 500 message box as a standard CGN member. WTF do you do to fill that? Keep permanent copies of every deal and every reply of those deals? I can see someone like Barney/Hungry/Tactical Teacher because of his "redneck celebrity" (with tongue-in-cheek respect) status here, but the common seller? Come on: empty that bugger already!

The No Reply to EE Forum ads was mainly put in place to stop the constant "bumping" of sales post to the top of the forum. It was turning into an ongoing battle of some sellers trying to keep their sales post at the fore front, pushing other sales post down and off the front page.

No person's sales post is more important then another person's. This is also where the 7 day bump rule came in.

This rule also stopped the heckling and price arguing that was clogging up sales posts..

That is correct.

How the seller sorts through the PMs is up to them.

Some will go by the first PM to say they will take it. Others will do it differently.
