The Pro Varmint is the Tacticool, they changed the name because it couldn't be exported under ITAR or some such nonsense with that name. Pro Varmint isn't as scary I guess.

Was that just the plain jane black painted one or did you have some options (cheek piece, buttpad) as well?

depends, if its a $280 dollar stock Ruger 10/22 that might be a little much.
its its a $1,500 custom made one then yes, that's probably cool.
