Robarms XCR FAQ post

What factory ammo or handloads have you guys found to be most accurate in the xcr L 223?

I've had luck with:

Code:
Hornady 68gr BTHP
Ramshot TAC - 24.9gr
Federal brass
CCI No.400
Seated to mag length (my calipers aren't working at the moment)

Code:
Sierra 69gr Matchking
Winchester 748 - 26gr
Federal brass
CCI No. 400

Code:
Hornady 55gr FMJ
Ramshot TAC -24.5gr
Federal brass
CCI No. 400

My XCR shipped from Wolverine Supplies with the sights screwed on only finger tight. I didn't realize it at first. During my break-in session, after 80 rounds I was ready to accept that my eyes were no longer good enough for iron sights. It wasn't until I got home that I realized both the front and rear sights were rattling in their slots. Hopefully I can save some money and weight by not putting on any optics.

I also put a layer of tape between the sliding portion of the stock and the non-sliding portion to take up remove some play in the stock.

Picked up my 7.62x39 model yesterday. Heading to the range today.
I did notice the muzzle brake is canted off center. Indexed more to one side if you will. Anybody else notice this or is it supposed to be that way? Sorry, newb question.

My new-to-me XCR. Was planning to strip the paint and return it to factory finish, bu to my surprise the camo is growing on me. Looks better in person than in photos. Looking forward to getting it out in the bush in the new year :)

Sick stock how do I get one, there is a million pages on here and I am too lazy to look back and search haha

About to buy one of these as a varmint blaster (gophers, coyotes) but can't get over the negative comments about the accuracy. Looking at 200-300 yards max range on it and plan on putting a 1-6x or 1-8x scope on it. Is that too much to ask out of this rifle or should I be looking at something else? Eventually going to be getting into 3 gun as well. $3000.00 is just a lot to be spending on something with mediocre reviews.

I don't know why you wouldn't buy an incredibly much cheaper bolt action for that.

Black rifles are for low friction operators sheepdoggin it.

I had to edit my post, I'm going to be getting into 3 gun as well and was hoping this could serve as multi purpose. I already have a bolt action (Ruger Precision in .308) that I have used before but it's heavy and a pain to lug around the field, and I wouldn't want to be shooting gophers with it.
