Hey guys , I'm looking at my options to shoot my AR in Ottawa . So far very few options , maybe someone can shed some light thanks.

Stittsville, not sure what a day pass is worth now?
EOSC-need a membership or be invited as a guest
NCRRA(Connaught)- need a membership and special ATT (prb wont get to shoot there this summer though) it takes a while to meet all requirements as it is a military range
Maybe Grenville Fish and game?

Stittsville is $30 a day but u can't shoot an AR unless ur a member of the pistol club .
EOSC is not taking new members till September .
I would join the stittsville range but currently can't cough up the cash for a membership which is around $536 with tax I think ..

I was kinda hoping there's a range I could just drop in , pay for the day and shoot

Gotta get this range only restricted nonsense rectified, sigh.
Which end of Ottawa are you? Smith Falls is another option.

Grenville Fish & Game

Family Membership I think was $130 for the year with indoor pistol and Archery Range.

100m
50m
25m

indoor 25m (pistol only)

Been a good range for me... you can come out with invite from a current standing member (has to be voted after 1 year)

no steel target on range though

Currently working on getting a 200m range, have the approval, working on funding...

PM me if you are curious

Might want to hurry if you chose to go to Grenville. The next restricted orientation course is on the 11th. Might want to mention your interest in that course if you apply.

Well so far , my best option seems to be stittsville . I been there before but never a member . I guess I'll have to wait a lil to scrape some money together and just go there

Thanks for the help guys , FYI , u can't walk in and shoot restricted at stittsville only NR

I know you can't walk in with pistols bc there is a club course for it... not totally sure if you can't walk in with a restricted rifle though?

Becoming a member of the pistol club is $75. Being a member of the pistol club allows you to shoot restricted on a $30 day pass.

That's not bad... I didn't know that... I just drop by there to shoot NR once in a while... its gets busy there though.

You do still have to pay for and complete the range safety course (the same one members do) but it's worth looking into if you don't shoot that much. I regularly hear the "It's really busy there" I've honestly never noticed.
