I just picked up a nice used MVP in 308 and was wondering it there are any M1/M14 type mags available that dont have to be pinned to 5?

Correct me if I am wrong, but, AIA mags won't work as the MVP uses the M14 op rod hole to retain the mag. Of course, AIA mags have no op rod hole.
I think it's xcr-m pistol.

I also just picked one up from cabelas. How are you guys liking this rifle? I haven't had a chance to shoot yet.
I have some pro mag aa700's on the way. Read a review somewhere that they work fine in the MVP. I'll post back when I receive them. But I am also wondering about the m14 mags a friends told me the pop out after fireing so you have to drill a whole in the side of them so they stay locked in.

I bought my 308 patrol like 2 years ago now and I like it and just bought the 223 LC version a couple weeks ago. My main attraction to these guns is obviously the AR magazines and also their short bull barrels that make the gun compact. I put my Patrol in a MDT LSS chassis which are perfect for this type of gun.

Using handloads I can get down pretty close to MOA but I plan on rebarreling and truing the action on my 308 this winter to try to try to get it even better. I use the xcr-m and c-products 308 pistol magazines for mine they work perfect and I have not tried any M14 magazines in them. They are not a Tika if that is what your looking for but again the biggest selling point is that they take AR magazines and are reasonably priced and compact.

Check first , mine would not seat E LANDER mags, I'm sure they wont work, I have tried 5 I bought in a bulk pack. Norc and GI M1A mags would work...

Robarms xcr 308 pistol mags is what you want, they are cheaper too.

I d echo this as the elander mags are the most out of spec mags ever. xcr norc and gi mags are better
