I want a Ruger American in .450 Bushmaster. WHERE???

I don't know if they will work in .308 mags, the cartridge was designed to fit in AR15 mags.

So use AICS pattern 223 mags. But I bet they work fine in a 308 mag. And they run the same magazine style as the American but in a single stack, my bad, but exactly the same mag well. Not sure why your wondering these things about a rifle you so openly despise.

I'm hoping someday they will get their #### together and improve QC, then I'd give it another chance.
I like some of the features, but can't get past the Chinese quality at American pricing.
I still value quality over "features".

You have experienced a very small sample size..... although, based on the pics you provided, it was unacceptable...

QC in manufacturing comes at a price.... I work in the field.....

Do you as a company want every rifle inspected or do you as a company want every 10th rifle inspected?.... and what does that do to the bottom line?.... and what does it do to rifle price?......

You get what you pay for......

I love my American .223. I haven't had it out in a year and just took it apart for an oiling, forgot how rough the machining is on the barrel! If I wipe an oiled tissue along the barrel I get snags of balled paper caught in the grooves. Thank God it's only cosmetic.

Remington and Bushmaster both make a Proprietary STANAG pattern mag for the 450 cartridge. It will not hold/feed other caliber rounds like 223, 7.62x39, 50 beo etc

For range plinking that would be okay. For hunting no way I would trust that mag.

I'd wait to see how they feed before I wrote them off, that review says they feed reliably, TTAG is pretty reputable in my opinion. Go look at a ranch, the barrel is decent enough, the noisy bolt, at least on mine was cured with a little grease and a quick scrub with some scotchbrite. I have no complaint with my trigger out of the box, the stock at least in my opinon is no worse than a series 1 vanguard. But you realize the amount of bad press you have tossed at this rifle if you buy one you can probably expect some jesters on here! Lol. Check one out, I'd let you shoot mine but your kind of a ways away. Mine has been a lot of fun so far. Not a single failure of any kind.

why? If there is no feed issue as reported, it should be a non issue.

The front metal mag looks suspect, but the MDT polymer version already has the round feeding into the chamber before the rear of the cartridge leaves the magazine lips
