On the hunt for Jewel grade walnut

I haven't posted in awhile, but nice wood sucks me back in.

I don't know if it gets better than that blank used on your No. 1.

I've drooled over many high end rifles online, seen some that are comparable (At that level they all have their own unique character). Never have I seen something that is a level above that. Do you have any pictures of something you would say is better?
 
Yea there's a lot of beautiful ones, liked the Luxus selections brought up by track too. Same thoughts on Roger Vardy, but walnut is such a subjective thing to judge and I don't agree with a lot of places pricing / grading. Bought four chunks of walnut yesterday will look over each and decide what I can get out of them and update with some pics as the cutting starts.

And cam1936 it's all personal preference and no doubt they're out there, for my tastes I haven't found better than the blank the No.1 got. Doesn't mean it's the nicest wood out there and others will have stuff they prefer, and can likely post. To me she's still the crown jewel, if I was to hope for something better it would be deep dark red & black, and turbulent. A piece that looks like a monster stirs in its depths or fire and brimstone to get deep into it. :d
