Another crazy person. S&W 460 XVR 8-3/8 model. Just bought 2 boxes of Hornady 200Gr. $110 but man is it a thrill to shoot! :dancingbanana:

Yup.. I did and just after I ditching my two, I lucked into a 22LR Webley. Big sigh! I could have had a matched set:(

There's trades/sales of 'goodies' all of us have made and come to regret. My buddy pulled one Webley deal a number of years ago that by comparison, was a real boner. He traded a commercial model Webley-Fosbery, in 38 ACP as I recall, in near mint condition for a model 27 S&W!! Now while I really like the N-frame S&W, :( that trade isn't one he's now proud of.

5", 8 shot, S&W model 27-8, Lou Horton Special "Register Magnum" commemorative. One of 108 built in this configuration.

Very nice! And, as I mentioned previously, the N frame and your example 27 are a favorite of mine. On a somewhat related topic, a set of grips I picked up years ago, actually came off of a 6" nickel plated 27 and are now on my 4" 29.

a set of S&W factory ivory magna grips.

I'm not the biggest revolver shooting guy, but I'm enjoying them more and more. I definitely love the design and craftsmanship, and consider lots of them works of art. Below are some of my collectors that are all unfired.

Clockwise from top right, ending with the center:

Manurhin MR73, Colt Python BSS, Korth Sport Classic PVD Blue, Freedom Arms Model 83, S&W 686 International, Colt SAA, and S&W 460 Bone Collector.
