Nea 102

If its built to any spec, MAYBE some AR10 parts can be substituted with lightweight ones.

I'm really hoping this release goes better then the AR15 one... that was a embarrassing.

It will be a nice door opener for other quality Mfg to make one that works
That said i still buy one and rework it from the grouND up.

Like the AR you were going to manufacture and sell?

The snippy comments from end users I get, but you're in the business...I have no idea of the backstory between you and NEA but you sure seem to get off on cheap shots. Don't you bump into Ryan at industry functions and such? Doesn't that get, ummm, uncomfortable?

Good god I hope it is milspec. Or someone else will make it to milspec. AR-10 interchangeability would be sweet :) could drop in a DPMS G2 bolt I suppose

Thats why im gonna sit back and enjoy looking at what can or cant be done before getting one. Im not gonna be a NEA guinea pig with an unproven platform.

You won't be able to drop in a G2 DPMS bolt. Different system.

This is great news!

This^^^^^

I've been a early adopter before on some other firearms. Not this time for me.

If it really is a exact copy of a AR102, about the only thing that might be interchangeable with modern AR10 parts is the barrel & barrel nut, barrel extension, gas block & magazines. I have a feeling NEA managed to get some stuff by the RCMP. So we will have to wait and see what fits and what doesn't.

Dude, how about congratulations!

Don't I wholesale you NEA parts...

You know you're not allowed to post after 10pm EST eh :)

Sorry for the wait and all the delays. A big congratulations to Jeff and the crew at NEA. I know there have been some ups and downs at the beginning but they just did a great thing for the Canadian gun owner.

Any company can improve or recover their QC rep, but unfortunately for me as a lowly consumer with limited access to info that won't become self evident until sufficient volume of anecdote field reports resembling stats.
Is it bad that based on the above rationale I'm still holding out for the K&M M17s / Scar in 308?

But yes congrats nonetheless!
