Stay away from any Kel-Tec product, I bought a SU-16 brand new and had it about 8 months and maybe put 500 rounds through it, was at the range the last time with it and the back half of the reciever blew apart just in front of the folding stock pivot point. Luckily I wasn't injured, I did some research and found that for warranty work you have to send it to New Westminster B.C. to Vault Distribution. I packaged it up and sent it away for repair, that was almost 9 months ago now. I've been in contact with them every couple of weeks since then and all the can tell me is that it was packaged up to be sent back to the factory for repair or replacement. The problem with that is I doubt it will be fixed and was told that Kel-Tec isn't exporting to Canada at this time because they've had so many failures with their composite plastic ( manufacturing process ? ). I've even called long distance to Florida to talk with their warranty people. At this point I'm so fed up with the absolutely horrendous warranty process next time I talk to them I'm going to tell them to find me a replacement gun immediately or cut me a cheque for the current replacement cost.
