Hi guys

I try to slowly go to IPSC and be more serious about shooting Handguns ( my weakness )
i was told to stop using 5 different 9mm and concentrate on one and put 15000 rounds on it! this is exactly where i am going to do :)

- Questions for the CZ Shadow 2 ( i find not much about it! but i try before asking )
- what is the best Holster? i just order a Ghost the one !
- What is the best Magazine out of the box? any come with the weight install?
- I can't find the CZ modification parts anywhere ? like the flat trigger.
- Any of you have try the new spring kit?

hi luc. If you are headed towards IPSC with the Shadow 2 then you don't want to modify it because it won't fit the IPSC Production rules.

That means no DPM aftermarket spring system.

A flat trigger is not common to install because it is a double action / single action gun. Flat triggers are usually used on single action guns.

Best mags would be the Mec-Gar 10rnd with the blue followers and the Plus2 extensions. The extensions gives extra material to grab onto when doing mag changes and also makes it tool-less disassembly for cleaning mags between stages. Don't get the crappy mags that has 1/4 plastic lower. They pop open or the ammo nose dives because the followers get stuck.

Tanfoglio mags have the option of a rubber bumper base pad.

For holsters, well, you already got the Ghost and should do you good.

Flat trigger will make your pistol SA only and put you into the standard (?) division.

If you reload your own and your ammo is in the 127-130PF, a 10-11lb recoil spring might help you get back on target a fit faster. I'm waiting to get some 147gr pills and an 8lb recoil spring to see how flat it shoots.

If your pistol is pretty new, there are several forums out there that shows you how and where to polish up to make it slicker.

An 11lb mainspring helps bring down the DA trigger weight to a much nicer one. If you go that route, you will need a reduced power firing pin spring. If you go to a 13lb, you shouldn't need it. I've written up on this a few times already and too lazy to retype it all over again but search if you want the details.

So does that kit lower DA pull? Or is it simply for quicker follow ups?

My chrome Tanfoglio mags are performing flawlessly...

I read that Mec-Gar is the manufacturer for Tanfoglio mags. Not sure if there is any truth to that but those chrome mags do look cool.

I've read mixed reviews on those fancy captured recoil spring devices. Everything from amazing to don't waste your money.

It's probably true.... I think Wolff makes the springs for tanfoglio

The chrome mags are easy to clean as well.... But I shot a stock 3 before this, so I had them already. If I didn't have them, I'd probably go with the Mec gars without the plastic bottoms

I agree with this choice and really like this setup. Note though for guys that also shoot USPSA or plan to in the future that the +2's do not fit in the USPSA Production box in any Shadow or Shadow 2. I'm changing as I have a couple of Sectional matches coming up and want my gear to be legal.
