My rifle shoots 1/2" groups @100 yards all day! Really? Prove it.

POCO. Nice several yr old wooden shooting benches. Heated covered shooting area. Hot water in the washroom. Kitchen with kettle, stove, coffee maker, bottled water. Target backstops. Just bring your firearm, paper targets and stapler.

Sounds like paradise compared to conditions described by outdoor shooters in other areas.

Never ever made it out to poco range... heard it as I made my way up Burke on my bike(s) but thats as close as I got. And now I see that the developers are pushing fast and hard towards that gate.....

Anyway... I think I will give this challenge a shot after the weekend. Time for some recoil therapy!

Is that 600m in Campbell river by chance?

I gotta try this... Not sure if I can even remotely get close to 1/2 MOA, but yeah.... Cant know if you dont try... I have three rifles that I'd like to make the attempt with... is it permissible to go with all three or do I need to pick only one?

kinda like bowling a perfect game.... thats the part that makes me squirly... that one lousy shot -for whatever reason.....

Yes Campbell river goes to 600yds but new rules hafto take a range orientation as of January first to get the new keys for the gates, some guys ruined it for the honest gun nut 😡

Failed 2 times, 6.5X55 Swedish mauser.

You are not alone........ I feel your grief!! LoL!!

Oh goodie... I guess this mean I get to be led around by the hand...

Gentlemen,
I finally had the opportunity to attempt the 1/2 moa challenge. This is my submission. This is a new to me rifle I acquired from Yodave and these are basically the very first 30 rounds I put through it less ten sigheters. It is a remington 700 in 6PPC. Ive got a terrible memory and will have to pick his brain again about the particulars. This action is mounted a top a sinclair stock that is no longer in production. I kinda like it. 2oz jewel and im not sure on barrel make.. Easy enought to find out. I will be attempting the 300 yard 1 moa next. I also intend to attempt these challenges with a savage 10 FCP precision in .308. Its proving to be a bit more of a challenge with the 08. Still working up that perfect load! Cheers!

from left to right and top to bottom:
0.402 , 0.269 , 0.346 , 0.151 (best) , 0.355 , 0.314. avg = 0.306.

Fine shooting.........I told you we'd get you in there....
Sinclair international Fclass stock, trued remington 700 action, Krieger 4 grove 14 twist barrel set back and rechambered 0.269 6mm ppc after the initial 950 rounds.....some cobbled sabotage ammo I threw together with zero neck tension to allow the bullets to find the lands amix some other ammo loaded for a different rifle all together......LOL.....jokes on me....after I witnessed how it shoots with mystery ammo I should have kept it....dammit....but as I said, couldn't have gone to a better home

Nice shooting Mr. Jeffery. I added you to the successful list on the first page.

Cool! Thank you Sir!
I will attempt your other challenges shortly. I have a couple of rifles that I want to try these with. I also want to see how well this could be accomplished from a standing position. Never mind a bench! That to me, seems like a really good challenge and I love a serious challenge! I doubt a 1/2 moa standing but who knows.....

These posts have been inspirational. I'm new to the shooting sports and have only managed 2" groups with a borrowed bone stock weatherby in .308 (not sure of the model). Was hooked right away. Really looking forward to choosing my first range rifle.

Just been getting into these challenges. This was my first attempt and I hanevsome work to do. I think I can do it though. I have trouble finding enough time to take my time at this. Seems my groups open up when my barrel gets smokin hot. It's a rock creek 1/11. I will try to take more time to not heat the barrel so much. My practice group was .34 which was better than any of these. I worked l-r and did not Red Robin shoot these.

Doesn't really meet the challenge standards but is pretty good none the less.
This was my seating depth test for my PGW Coyote in 6 Competition Match shooting 105 hybrids at about 3150fps
Top left group was the first and really the only one that wasn't around 1/2 moa. Ended up going with the seating depth with the dimes for comparison.

The I was doing some fireforming of cases. The 6 Comp Match requires a .243 to be fired in the 6Comp match chamber. Its easy and it STILL shoots VERY well. This is a 25 rd group and yes its 24 good shots and one unmentionable lolol. ;)

I'm very sorry dbcdm12. I seriously missed this. Nice shooting. I added you to the successful list.

Was going to start replacing the pics hijacked by Photobucket but will just add another one from a different rifle...this a Barnard action with a Rem Varm contour Bartlein barrel chambered to 6 Dasher. And of interest is that two different bullets (noted in red below each group. Shot at 100M.

Nice shooting!
But wondering if you have used at least 3 kinds of ammos according to the groups showing different Point of Impacts.
No offensive just curious.
Regards,
